What's up with this album?
Back when I was still in elementary school, Knight of Cydonia was my entry into Muse. My father bought me Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, and I played it again and again. Then one day, I was hooked with Knight of Cydonia. The riff, the solo, the trumpet—it was iconic and I couldn't stop playing. This song simply got me hooked.
Then when I was in junior high, I was talking about games and music with my friends when one of them showed me Muse's concert Live at Wembley (2007). This concert was held during this album era, which means that most of the songs played are from this album. I was amazed.
When I was home, I went straight to YouTube to listen to the whole album. The whole album rocked me so hard that I instantly fell in love with Muse.
Since then, I’ve been a proud Muse fan and had the chance to attend their concert in 2019 during Simulation Theory Tour in Köln. It was magical. Until now, I still reminisce that concert—it was a rare experience, since Muse rarely goes to Indonesia, and I was in Germany when the tour started.
